Intro and 6U Schedule - December 21, 2024

Reminder! Times for Intro to Hockey and 6U practices on Saturday, December 21, have been adjusted due to the high school hockey games happening in the afternoon.

  • Intro to Hockey - 10:30 a.m.
  • 6U - 11:45 a.m.


You're Invited - Janesville Youth Hockey Night

  • JV Game @ 1:00PM
  • Varsity Game @3:00PM - state tournament recognition will be during this game.

Join the Janesville Bluebirds and the Milton Red Hawks boys high school hockey teams on Saturday, December 21, when they face off at the Janesville Ice Arena.

Every JYH member should have received an email earlier this week from Chris Nickel (chris.nickel@playonsports.com) titled "Janesville Youth Hockey Night" to receive 2 tickets to the game (1 adult and 1 student).

State Championship Team Recognition

Also at the game, previous JYH teams that won their State Tournaments will be recognized.

The Janesville Youth Hockey program has a rich legacy, fielding well over 500 teams that have competed at the state level.

This Saturday we’re excited to honor the 10 teams that have captured the State Championship throughout our storied history! Join us during the hockey game as we come together to celebrate their incredible achievements.

If you or someone you know was a player, coach, or manager of one of these championship teams, please spread the word! We’d love to reunite as many state champions as possible to commemorate their accomplishments and share in this special moment.

Save the Dates! - JYH with the Jets

Please mark the following dates in your calendars for JYH activities with the Janesville Jets:

  • 6U Night at the Jets - January 4, 2025
  • 8U Night at the Jets - February 21, 2025
  • Girls Night at the Jets - April 12, 2025

Kids wearing JYH apparel will get in to the games for free.

We will also be hosting Try Hockey for Free on February 22, 2025 from 10:30 a.m. to Noon, and the Jets players will be serving as on-ice help.


Girls Hockey Day with the Fury

Join the Fury Varsity team for an unforgettable experience on January 18th!

Youth skaters will have the special honor of welcoming the team back to the ice after warmups, standing alongside them during the starting lineup announcements, and being part of the National Anthem ceremony. It’s your chance to shine on the ice!

What to bring: Skates, helmet, and your club's home jersey

When to arrive: Please be there no later than 2:30 p.m.

Bonus: Youth skaters get FREE admission to the game! Don't miss this opportunity to cheer on the Fury and be part of the action!

Apparel Orders

If you didn’t pick up your apparel order on Monday, your items are waiting for you in the Concession Stand. If there is an item that was backordered, Fundraising Chair Katie Kletzien will be in contact with you when it’s available to pick up.


Jersey Giveaway

Looking for a last minute gift for a JYH fan or player?

On December 23, JYH will be pulling out all of the old jerseys from storage from the last 10-15 years, including Jr. Fury jerseys and giving them away for FREE! The jerseys will be out and available to pick up starting at 5:30 p.m. until the end of the last practice of the evening.


Go-Kart Ties Needed

If anyone has access to old go-cart tires, we can use them for practice props! Please contact Vice President Sean Knott (vicepresident@janesvilleyouthhockey.com) with any questions.


Intro to Hockey - Equipment Hand In

Equipment hand in will take place on December 28 immediately following the final Intro to Hockey session at 1:15 p.m. If your player is going to continue playing and needs to keep the equipment, parents will still be required to check in with our Equipment Manager on this date/time. If you won’t be attending this session, please email equipment@janesvilleyouthhockey.com.
